Our Time To Be

HomeAbout The BookAug 28, 2008
The Book is a heart to heart conversation of one MSUan to another about an alma mater that is dear to us.

Our Time to Be is written by fifteen (15) writers, seven of whom agreed to voluntarily write on themes that naturally arose in retrospect of shared experiences, observations and comments of one leadership style that has so prodded many to work for the good of MSU. Many sent in their reflections (students, faculty and staff) of xPRDL’s leadership but the ones who ended up in the final printing were those that were deemed appropriate reflections for the chapters. The submitted reflections were quoted and interspersed in the chapters. The inclusion of two reflections (that of Aisa Manlosa and Anifa Alonto) were suggested by some alumni who knew about the book project. Many of the quotes were taken from published mails in the google group or from speeches delivered during one of the tributes for xPRDL.

It was part of the 10 Imperatives of MSU Vision 2020 for MSUans to be preservers of cultural heritage and purveyors of peace. RDL celebrated the rich Maranao culture and sought to preserve it during his stint.

Because Daddy Pres has been to every nook and corner of MSU, he is most remembered by those ordinary men and women who felt his care and concern.
